Econcern core activities taken over by Eneco

Econcern N.V. was declared bankrupt by a Dutch court in Utrecht on 11 June 2009 at the request of the administrators Louis Deterink and Willem Jan van Andel.

Eneco – Ecofys, Ecostream, Evelop, Biomass Activites

On 15 June 2009 an agreement was reached with Eneco to take over significant parts of Ecofys, Ecostream, Evelop, and some activities in the area of biomass. These parts of the business will operate under the holding company Echo Investments B.V, a 100% daughter company of Eneco. The board of Echo Investments B.V. consists of Arjan ten Elshof and Mark Belloni. Echo Investments B.V. and is headquartered in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Protechnum B.V. – Betronic

On 18 June 2009 Protechnum B.V purchased the core activities and intellectual property rights from Betronic Netherlands B.V., allowing the continued engineering, development and delivery of customised electronic products and services. The company will continue under a new name - Betronic Solutions B.V. Protechnum intends to secure jobs for over 40 employees of Betronic Nederland based in Amsterdam. Betronic Solutions B.V. will continue to be headquartered at IJburg, the Netherlands.

On 18 June Orbeo 2009 signed an agreement to purchase OneCarbon International B.V. from Econcern N.V.

Itho – Solior

On 17 July 2009 Itho signed an agreement to purchase Solior. The company will continue under a new name Solior International B.V. Solior International B.V. will become the fifth business unit of the Itho Holding, strengthening the company’s solar thermal activities. For more information please visit www.itho.nl.
